Описание: I have a video on how I modified the chain tensioner but the problem / rattle isn’t coming from chain rattle bcs I modded the plunger and I still get noise unless I prime my engine for 6 seconds before startup. The problem is the phaser, it’s new but it’s also aftermarket. My old one was oem but it also has miles on it and the chain was stretched and the oil seals for the phaser were gone so I cannot compare the two in order to really bust this myth. Is it the tougher valve springs causing this? I want to buy a new oem phaser but what if it still does it? Maybe I can install a harder spring in the phaser which is responsible for holding the locking pin in place so that it does not shift until oil psi allows it to do so by control of the solenoid.
