Описание: Scotts Valley Senior Life Online hosts Ross Eric Gibson, well-known Santa Cruz Historian, Author, and Historic Architecture Consultant, discussing “Santa Cruz Downtown Transformations”. “The changing perspectives on what the downtown should be.” Ross presents a history of Santa Cruz and his perspective on current plans and the future of the city.

• Started Preservation Consulting in 1978, becoming involved with the downtown’s preservation and reconstruction after the 1989 Earthquake
• Served on the Historic Preservation Commission and County Landmarks Plaque program
• Wrote History columns in the Santa Jose Mercury and Santa Cruz Sentinel, history books and plays
• Led history walking tours for 30 years

This program was originally a pandemic zoom workshop presentation by Scotts Valley Senior Life Association, a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Senior Life Online produced for the benefit of local senior citizens and the Santa Cruz community.
