Suns @ Lakers, January 10, 2012 | The Phoenix Suns, a common victim of numerous scoring outbursts of Kobe Bryant's career, found themselves in another very familiar situation early in the lockout season of 2011-12 when they visited the Lakers in downtown Los Angeles. Kobe came out on fire with 17 points on 8-11 shooting in the first quarter. After just 15 points over the next two periods combined, he dropped another 16 in the final frame of the game, bringing his total to 48 points on the night. This was the highest scoring game for Kobe since March of 2009 when he scored 49 points against....the Phoenix Suns.
