The scope of this research project is to introduce the concept of prestressed cold-formed steel beams by:
• Studying their mechanical behaviour
• Evaluating the benefits they can offer
• Optimising their performance
• Providing design recommendations

The Young Researchers' Conference turned 20 in 2018, celebrating two decades of supporting young researchers and future structural engineers. 23 researchers were selected to give either an oral or poster presentation at the conference, held on 10 April 2018 at Institution HQ, London.
