The War of the Pacific, also known as the Nitrate War or Saltpeter War, was a conflict between Bolivia, Chile, and Peru over lands in the Atacama Desert that contained high concentrations of valuable minerals. This video discusses the causes of the war and provides a brief overview of the military campaigns during it.
