Presumably Pangio oblonga (tank contains both black and banded kuhlis, but the larger fry look to be black). I think I saw a juvi at the top, so hopefully the young ones lower down are able to access the top. Have seen different sized fry (one twice the size of another) so hopefully it's been two spawns.
Conditions of spawning were unknown. 220L Community tank, contains driftwood and leaf litter. 2/3rds of the tank floor is sand, but the black kuhlis live predominantly in the rocky areas.
I tried to feed the adults but for some reason they didn't come out tonight when fed. This was taken after a 40% cold water change, the cold water changes most likely triggers their spawning. No attempts were made at actually spawning and these guys are surprise fry, so I'm afraid I don't know how old they are.
