On May 12, SCCF Environmental Policy Director James Evans and South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) Board Chairman Chauncey Goss were the featured speakers for the Sanibel & Captiva Chamber of Commerce's May virtual meeting.
Evans has more than 23 years of experience working in the south Florida ecosystems and expertise in water quality, environmental policy, marine biology, estuarine ecology, coastal systems, environmental restoration, land management, and grant management. Currently, Evans is part of the SFWMD Water Resources Accountability and Collaboration Public Forum Group.
Chauncey Goss, the South Florida Water Management District board chairman, and James Evans, the SCCF environmental policy director will be informing chamber members about updates on legislative and environmental issues that regard water.
Goss, grew up on Sanibel and now currently lives here with his wife and three sons. Currently, Goss serves on the boards for Captains for Clean Water; the Southwest Florida Community; SCCF, and the United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades, and Okeechobee counties.
