Wichita Lineman Remake Cover Jimmy Webb - Glen Campbell

Описание: My new website: https://www.kenmercerarts.com I decided to remake this beautiful song written by Jimmy Webb in 1968 and put my own twist into it. I started by recording the piano track and then did my vocals, the final track before mixing and mastering was my electric guitar. Some of you may be familiar with Glen Campbell who sang the song and made it popular.
The piano was recorded via MIDI cables straight into Sonar Platinum via my Focusrite 2i4 interface. I used the Edirol orchestral plugin for the sound. The electric guitar was played through Native Instruments Guitar Rig, and my vocals were recorded with my Rode NT2 condenser microphone. I then added EQ, Compression, Reverb and some Chorus to my voice to obtain clarity and presence in the mix. I figured that I usually make my covers quite similar to the originals so with this one I made a different arrangement, I think that piano and electric guitar compliment each other quite well. **NOTE**I used a stereo panning effect on my guitar which bounces the sound from left to right speaker, I discovered after uploading this that it was a bad decision as most devices have a mono sound and sometimes you can't hear the guitar very well. On my studio speakers it sounds great, but on my tablet it keeps cutting out as there is only one speaker.
