For many of you, the SMO 2nd Round is/was your first true glimpse at higher-level math - where arguments & explanations are more important than computations & numbers.
I explain the grading system for the 2nd Round, and use 5 examples from the SMO Junior Round 2 to highlight different problem types you will encounter.
Even if you are taking the Senior or Open 2nd Round, if it's your first time qualifying, I hope this helps you to appreciate its demands a bit better!
