Use the HP Smart App after printer is on, connected to Wi‑Fi, and has paper loaded.
From Phone (HP Smart App):
Open HP Smart → tap your printer.
Tap "Printer Settings" (or gear icon).
Select "Printer Reports" → choose "Print Quality Report."
Print the report and follow the prompts in the app to scan it.
The app will automatically align the printhead.
If Automatic Fails (Manual Alignment):
In HP Smart, go to "Tools" or "Advanced Settings."
Select "Align Printhead" or "Calibrate."
The printer will print a test page.
Use the app to scan the test page when prompted.
Quick Tips:
Use plain white paper.
Keep scanner glass/lid clean.
Run alignment if prints appear blurry or misaligned.
Alignment completes in about a minute—no manual steps on the printer itself.
