During the approximate midday of July 10th, 2025, Mark V train set 6051-6065 travelled to Stadium-Chinatown Station to conduct a media event regarding the brink of a new era for Skytrain: Brand-new 5-car trains entering service on the Expo Line.
Following the event, the train was put onto an impromptu service run towards Waterfront before the train was stationed there for a couple hours as part of an open house for the public. Afterwards, the train was put in official revenue service, with a full Expo Line trip towards King George.
Come take a look of this unique SkyTrain experience that many have enjoyed and will remember for the future to come as we enter a new chapter of Vancouver's transit history through the Mark V's first day of service.
