Driving in Switzerland: Autobahn A4 E41 from Schaffhausen to Winterthur

Описание: In this video you can ride along on Autobahn A4 E41 from Schaffhausen to Winterthur in Northern Switzerland. The A4 is kind of a strange Autobahn. It seems to partly follow new alignment and in many places it's been upgraded from a regular road. There are also quite a few segments that are still 1 x 1 despite relatively high traffic numbers.

Even between the 2 larger cities Schaffhausen - Winterthur and considering the fact it's an international corridor to Germany, there is still a part of A4 that hasn't been expanded to 2 x 2. It also looked like a second carriageway had been built at some point but is still not in use. Not sure what the reasons are, but let me know in the comments if you know more about it. One part of A4 that has been quite complicated to expand is the part between Altdorf and Schwyz along the Vierwaldstättersee (lake).
