After hauling out earlier in January this year, winter had other ideas…
Storms, rain, limited access, and trying to grab small gaps between weather systems have made progress slower than planned, but work has been happening. In this episode I walk you through the latest updates on the boat including fresh antifoul, new anodes fitted following the survey recommendations and removing the very pinkish prop ready for a new three-blade replacement.
This is realistic boat ownership, not perfection, just learning as a first-time boat owner and documenting the journey as a proud sailing mug.
Inside the boat we check how she’s held up through the winter (including a surprisingly dryish bilge), and I share what’s coming next — including tackling the windlass and a rather rusty anchor chain.
