Karoline Leavitt On Strait Of Hormuz Security | US May Escort Oil Tankers If Needed

Описание: Amid the escalating conflict in West Asia, the White House has addressed concerns over the safety of oil shipments passing through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical energy chokepoints.

Speaking to reporters, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said that the United States Department of Defense and the United States Department of Energy are closely assessing the security situation and regularly briefing Donald Trump on developments.

Responding to questions about how long it could take to secure the route for oil tankers, Leavitt said there is currently no specific timeline. However, she stressed that the U.S. government is actively monitoring the situation as tensions continue in the region.

Leavitt added that if required, the United States Navy could be deployed to escort oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz to ensure safe passage for global energy supplies.
