The Bible shows the heart is your inner person, mind, will, and emotions. God gives a new heart and a new spirit in Christ (Ezek. 36). Pay attention to God’s Word, keep it before your eyes, and hide it in your heart. His Word is life and medicine (Prov. 4). Guard your heart. Watch your words. Set boundaries before the test comes. Ponder the path of your feet, and make course corrections. The entrance of God’s Word brings light (Ps. 119). Trust in the Lord with all your heart; don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Prov. 3). When the heart is right, life moves from confusion to clarity, from darkness to light.
