Portuguese Traditional Sailing Boats

Описание: Last weekend I was aboard Princesa do Tejo for the 4th Marquis of Pombal regatta.
Quite a few traditional sailing boats participated and dressed the river with their sails.

Tagus Canoas and Catraios, from gaff rigged to latin sails and sprit rigs they were all present.
More than the regatta itself, just the pleasure of sailing surrounded by these beautiful boats, some of them over one century old was just awesome.

Most people weren’t there for anything but the social aspect of it and to show that there are some who still insist in keeping this river’s history alive.

The event was once again organized by Ancoras.
