Mount Katahdin - Maine's tallest peak was a really cool adventure. It is located in northern Maine in Baxter State park. My adventure was a little more unconventional as far as my start and finish went... I think. It started and ended at Abol Pines Campground. The route I mapped out adds on about an extra 10 miles than would be planned from the traditional trailhead at (for me) Abol Trail Head. I summited Baxter Peak and made my decent down Hunt's trail and hiked out of Baxter State Park back to camp. It was a grind, but, it was SO much fun! I had a blast up there exploring knifes edge and seeing Baxter state park. It was gorgeous!!!
