My name is Ian and this is part of a series documenting my helicopter training in Robinson helicopters. Follow along as I go from zero experience to my goal of becoming a flight instructor.
On today's flight, I took a quick solo flight as part of building hours towards my commercial license. I wanted to go up to about 6,000 ft, but the clouds were rising and the most I was going to be able to get and still maintain cloud clearance was 4,500 MSL.
