➡️ There are many bands who have eluded me for years despite seeing their name everywhere, and Thursday is one of them. I went into "Understanding In A Car Crash" expecting another intense post-hardcore track, but what stuck with me was how restrained it was in all the right places. The bass isn't just audible...it's undoubtedly part of the storytelling. The dynamics never feel accidental, the rhythm section is constantly reacting to itself, and even the ending refuses to give you the payoff you're expecting. My favorite part wasn't the heaviness - t was how much emotion this band creates simply by knowing when not to fill every inch of the mix.
