Finding a job today for some may be difficult. Cashiers are always needed by stores. What if the store sells haraam items like alcohol? Is one not allowed to take this job?
Fear and be conscious of Allah as much as you can. If this is the only option you have until you find a better option, then make sure the store is not fully haraam, like a liquor store. If the store has a variety of inventory and only a portion of it is haram, in this case the haram income is actually in proportion to what is in the store.
