Communities around the country are embracing and implementing smart growth and sustainability practices to create mixed-use, walkable places that include a range of housing and transportation choices for residents, workers and visitors. To achieve this vision, local governments are continually assessing and re-evaluating their zoning codes and regulations to ensure there is a clear and predictable process.
