Описание: Trade Dollars were minted from 1873-1885. These coins were designed by William Barber. The US issued Trade Dollars to circulate in China. Chinese merchants would stamp "chop marks" on Trade dollars to authenticate the silver. Some collectors consider chop marks to be damage. Other collectors appreciate the history of chop marks. Trade Dollars contain more silver than Morgan Dollars. A Trade Dollar weighs 27 grams while a Morgan Dollar only weighs 26.7 grams. Trade Dollars are among the most heavily counterfeited US coins. Because of counterfeits, I advise buying Trade Dollars in slabs.
