During the 2016 Peroni Race weekend at the Imola circuit some F1 and Formula cars took the track along the Boss GP championship. There was also this 2008 Superleague DP09B Formula in the open class. The Superlegue season ran from 2008 to 2011 between April and November at the same time as most other European race series. Every team used identical cars built by Panoz Auto Development with a 750 Hp V12 engines made by Menard Competition Technologies. The car was recognized with the DP09B project name. Some important technical specifications are a Carbon fibre chassis, Hewland 6 speed LSFA gearbox with semi-automatic system, Michelin slick racing tyres and a weight of about 750 Kg. Unfortunately, this series was not as successful as hoped, and the 2011 season was the last of the series. What I can say, hear and see a V12 on the track was a wonderful feeling! Durante il Peroni Race weekend 2016 all'autodromo di Imola sono scese in pista assieme alle Boss GP, alcune F1 e vetture Formula. Tra queste una Superleague DP09B del 2008 nella categoria Open Class. La formula Superlegue si è corsa nei mesi tra Aprile e Novembre in Europa fra il 2008 ed il 2011 nel week-end dei più importanti Gran Premi di F1. Ogni team usava vetture identiche costruite dalla Panoz Auto Development e montavano dei V12 accreditati di 750 cv realizzati dalla Menard Competition Technologies. Nome di progetto della vettura era appunto DP09B. Alcune rilevanti specifiche tecniche sono un telaio in fibra di carbonio, cambio Hewland LSFA a 6 merce sequenziale, pneumatici slick forniti da Michelin ed un peso contenuto in circa 750 Kg. Sfortunatamente la serie non ebbe il successo sperato e la stagione 2011 fu l'ultima disputata. Quello che posso dire è che vedere e sentire un v12 in pista è stata una sensazione bellissima.
