CARE came to this conclusion after finishing the “Learning 4 Change” project in Rwanda and Uganda, Rwanda and Ethiopia.
Deciding proactively to change something is the first step. But in order to make improvements, there is also a need for open communication between employees, colleagues and the management. To reach sustainable gender equality in an organization, the structures of the organization need to change as well. It is important that they reflect the needs of the employees.
CARE is one of the biggest aid organizations in the world. We stand for a world of hope, tolerance and social justice. Our vision is a world where poverty is defeated and humans can live in dignity and safety together. Women and girls are the focus of our work. To overcome poverty, all people need to have the same rights and possibilities regardless of their race, heritage or religion.
