This is a project I worked on from 2009 until summer 2010.
The intake geometry was modeled using SolidWorks and optimized using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations from both ANSYS Fluent and Ricardo WAVE. The intake was then built out of carbon fiber using both CNC machined and 3D printed molds. Real-time intake control electronics were also designed and built to communicate over Controller Area Network (CAN) to the MicroSquirt / MegaSquirt Engine Control Unit (ECU) running our Suzuki GSXR-600 engine.
