I was unable to find any video about this configuration when I was making some research for my car so I made a video myself in case anyone is wondering how it sound with this setup.
So here is a exhaust sound video with my Mazda MX5 NBFL 1.8l (2003). She has a stock engine (except a Green air filter, but it should make no differences) and the cat is still on. For the exhaust, I have a IL Motorsport Stainless Steel Centre pipe and a Cobalt Stainless Steel Muffler (v2).
(And yes, she make pops and gurgles !)
This video was shot 6 month after the installation so this is the definitive sound of this exhaust (sound change by time and can sound crappy when you just install it. For my car, I would say that it was sounding good after 1 or 2 months)
