In Vietnam, "Lunar New Year" is called "Tet". The full name is "Tet Nguyen Dan". It means, "feast for the first morning". It is almost always celebrated on the same date as in Hong Kong and China but because of the time difference, every 25 years or so it falls a day earlier in Vietnam. Traditionally, the purpose of Tet holiday is that Vietnamese would like to thank Gods for the arrival of spring with a variety of blooming trees and flowers after a cold and harsh winter. Tet Vietnam is celebrated to welcome the Lunar New Year and summarize what they did in the old one. It is considered an important mark for changes, plans and progress. In addition, Vietnamese people believe that what they do on the first day of the new year will affect their rest.🧧
