Memories are colourful and a little unsharp, "present story" is nearly black and white.
Story:
Meryl and Vash are engaged. One evening, Meryl waits for Vash to return. But he doesn't and she gets a phone call. He was brought to hospital cause he had an accident. She finds him very hurt in the hospital. The doctors say he won't make it, his injuries are too bad. But she loves this man so much, she can't let him go. She gets marriage rings and calls a chaplain so they can marry. Shortly after, Vash dies.
