Our cylinder heads on our F225 just returned from the machine shop, and we found they could not be saved. This means we’ll be installing new components, and Yamaha makes a complete head assembly for the F225. Click the link above for links to the right- and left-side head assemblies.

In this video, we’ll show you how to install the cylinder heads on you F225. But to assemble it, the first step is a little disassembly. We’ll remove the cams and cam chain tensioners before we more the head over and get them installed on the crankcase. John will show you the precise torque sequence on the heads, install the camshafts and tensioners, and then close the top of the engine up with the head covers.
