jeans: Dustin Nguyen [Front View]

Описание: Dustin Nguyen (@dustin_nguyen) is a multiplication of sorts and things he’s done before and maybe will do in the future. He started as a proficient walker before he began classes in studio dance styles (tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical). A majority of his dance training comes from Allegro Performing Arts Academy in Kent, Washington and taking street styles & hip hop classes in NYC. He’s been a part of the Neighbors since Spring 2024.

"jeans", set to a song by 2hollis incorporates elements of hyperpop with a glitchy, trappy, hip-hop style. This performance layers together seemingly mismatched elements not to hint at some hidden meaning, but to reflect on the belief that art can be random, referential, and still resonate–sometimes it's just not that deep. Everything that surrounds us is derivative; what else is there to do besides yearn for a baddie in a pair of jeans?
