Описание: Eric works on a very old green Atlas Cedar bonsai. (Cedrus libani var. Atlantica). With short green needles similar to fir trees, Atlas cedars are great in Mediterranean climates. They are native to the Atlas mountains of Morocco.

00:01:00 - A spin and look at the tree prior to work. There are a couple dead old broken branches. Eric plans to use the new long growth to create a lower and upper crown.

00:01:50 - A discussion of styling cedars like cedars.
00:02:30 - The structure is not ideal - most of the foliage is coming from one branch. Bending the branches down will help close the space in the middle.

00:03:00 - The top will be cut back - Eric wants to optimize the growth on the lower section.
00:03:45 - Bending the lower branches - adding wire can act as a splint. The old branches are known to snap like a piece of celery.
00:05:30 - with the lower section wired and shaped, a quick look and then on to the upper branching.
00:06:00 - wiring and bending the upper back portion.
00:07:10 - Trimming the long shoots in the back slightly. Then more wiring.
00:08:15 - A small branch added close to the trunk to provide depth.
00:08:30 - Wiring and bending the upper right large branch. Celery!
00:10:15 - finishing the last of the crown.
00:11:30 - The front is now slightly to the left of the old front so that the cascade comes forward and more movement in the upper crown is visible.
00:12:00 - A half spin of the done-for-now tree.
