Описание: I am looking forward to sharing with the club members some of the knowledge that I have obtained in the last 30 years in the Smoky Mountains. I have lived just minutes outside of the National Park during that time and because of my proximity and research have been able to capture lasting memories from all seasons. I have recently learned that GNP Alpharetta region has a trip scheduled to the Smoky Mountains in November. Based on the trip agenda, I have incorporated some helpful tips with supporting photography. I will be covering all four seasons in the Smoky Mountains with both wildlife and nature as the subjects. That being said I will emphasize Fall photography to help with your visit. I look forward to meeting those of you who will be coming in the Fall.

Biography
Barry Spruce
Barry has been fortunate to live on both ends of the Appalachian Mountain range that runs North and South inside the East coast of the United States of America. He was born and raised on the coast of New Hampshire in Northern New England. He was gifted his first camera for Christmas at the age of 10 years old. The 110 Kodak Instamatic camera was soon traveling everywhere that his parents would take him. Much of that traveling was in his home state of NH and sometimes a trip to Maine, where his father and grandfather grew up. He learned to canoe, camp and fish both along the coastline and in the interior lakes of the region. His passion for the outdoors grew and so did his love of photography.
Upon graduating high school, he started working in the automotive parts industry. After just working a few months he purchased his first film SLR camera. Weekends were now spent revisiting his childhood trip locations. But now the agenda had changed to capturing moments in time and the photography passion grew inside him. In 1990 he vacationed in the Smoky Mountains and moved to East Tennessee just months later. In 2004 he purchased his first DSLR and left film photography behind forever. Like many photographers switching to digital was like starting over.
Since going to digital photography in 2004, Barry began putting together a portfolio in hopes to sell his work upon his retirement. Little did he know that retirement would be sooner than later. In 2007 at the age of 43 he retired with 25 years in automotive parts. He soon began his 2nd career in Nature and Wildlife Photography by selling his prints at both indoor and outdoor events. Each year he put his profit back into his business by acquiring more and better equipment and products. He added more and more shows and events each and every year until finally opening his own gallery in 2015 in Townsend, Tennessee. In 2017 he closed that gallery to open his current Cades Cove Gallery also located in Townsend.
