I do like Panaplex displays. They're a lovely neon orange colour, like a Nixie tube, but seven-segment like the later LED and vacuum fluorescent displays. We don't see them any more on test equipment or calculators, probably because they require a high voltage (150V or so) to make them light up.
So this video is about Panaplex calculators of the 1970s: the Texas Instruments 3500, the Canon Canola L802, the Sharp Compet CS-2106 and the Sharp Compet CS-6301. The latter in particular is interesting (to me, anyway) because it has an eight-segment display. Each digit has an extra segment just for displaying a better '4'. It also has a nice reed-switch keyboard that has stood the test of time.
I plan to make more Panaplex, Nixie, and VFD calculator videos, so do subscribe to my channel if you'd like to see more of this kind of content!
