‘We’ll try again and again’: Sumud flotilla prepares to sail to Gaza

Pro-Palestine activists from around the world are getting to ready to join an aid convoy numbering dozens of boats in an attempt to bring aid into Gaza and raise global awareness about Israel’s starvation of the strip.
The Global Sumud Flotilla is set to depart from Barcelona on 31 August. It follows earlier attempts this year by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition to break through Israel’s blockade on Gaza with the Handala and Madleen vessels, which were intercepted and attacked by Israeli forces before reaching the strip.
Over 300 Palestinians have died from malnutrition under Israel’s blockade, with a UN-backed monitoring agency recently declaring famine in Gaza City.
