If you just picked up a Mamiya RB67 and the shutter won't release, your camera probably isn't broken. Try these few steps to see if it fixes the problem. This camera is finicky. So if you don't do the proper steps, it has mechanisms to prevent your film from being exposed.
I just got mine, and it took me a couple of hours to figure out that the problem I was having was that the multiple exposure mode has to be turned on for you to fire the shutter without any film in the camera. So I made this quick video for anyone who runs into the same problem when they first get their camera. I hope this helps.
