DIY SOLAR INSTALL | Upgrading our Fifth Wheel RV to Lithium (RV Life)

~ Our 2022 Keystone Arcadia 3250rl came with the solar flex 200 option from Keystone which includes a 200 watt solar panel, 30/15 MPPT and inverter prep.
~ We took full advantage of the existing solar prep and added 800 more watts of solar on the roof bringing us to a total of 1000 watts!
~ In addition, we upgraded the MPPT to a 150/70 from Victron.
~ We wired in a 2000 watt inverter as well.
~ Our absolute favorite part of the upgrade has to be our 2 new 200Ah lithium batteries from Enduro Power. This upgrade quadrupled our usable battery capacity! And the best part is they're basically the same size as our two stock batteries and don't take up any more room than before.
~ To top it all off, we wired in a battery monitor that will allow us to dial in the settings between the battery and the solar charger while have constant visibility to the state of charge of our batteries.

To say we are itching to get out west and get off the grid is an understatement. This upgrade was essential to allow us to spend days (if not weeks!) boondocking while we still work full-time remote jobs. After the install was complete, we packed up and left Wisconsin. We loved spending time with friends and family while the RV was getting work done (more on that in a future video). Now we're making our way south for the Winter to spend time with more family in Florida. After that we're headed to Texas (aka chasing the nice weather!) 😎.
