Thursday afternoon, February 19, 2026, and two Amtrak trains are running westbound on the Chicago & Milwaukee Subdivision, C&M Sub of the old Milwaukee Road now the CPKC tracks.
Amtrak Train #7, the Empire Builder, is first up and it is followed by Train #337, Amtrak Hiawatha Service Train.
If you listen closely between the two trains, you will hear a car speed up to cross the tracks just after the crossing signals activated and before the gates began to come down.
