This was purchased by me for the purposes of making me happy. Yes, I recommend this printer, yes it is an excellent printer for a beginner...and yes, it's good for me when I want to print something while I'm at work and it's small enough and quiet enough that I can keep it in my office. It's nice.
Their custom slicer software? Meh. If you're a seasoned printer, skip it. If you're getting it for a kid....then it'll be just fine. When they're ready for more options, switch to Cura. The phone app? Really great!
