Emterra Environmental: Peterbilt 348/ Heil Split Rear Loader

Описание: Here is one of the many unique units that Emterra utilizes in Port Huron. This beast actually originates from Tringali Sanitation, who purchased this truck just before their conversion to "Single Stream" Recycling. Not having much use for these, Tringali sold this and a similar McNeilus to Emterra.

Since the Port Huron contract mandates that the trucks be five years old or newer, these units fulfilled that requirement and saved the cost of a brand new unit. I'm not sure how I feel about split bodies being used in an urban setting, but these do save a fair amount of use on the rural, country routes in other areas of the county.
