Today we revisit a true progressive gem. Stellarium turns 12 years old — and it still sounds as timeless as ever.

Back in 2014, Alex Vidal was a Beatport Top 100 progressive artist, known for his emotional depth and refined melodic storytelling. Although he has been inactive for around eight years now, his productions from that era remain a strong imprint on the genre — and Stellarium is one of the finest examples.

The remix comes from underground legend Van Bellen, naturally best known for his club classic Let Me Take You. What makes him truly unique is his rarity — he never released music frequently, which made every new production a genuine event. Quality over quantity has always defined his legacy.

For Stellar Fountain, it has been a true honour that over the years we were able to invite Van Bellen to deliver three remixes for the label. Considering how selective he has always been, this represents a special creative trust and connection.

Stellarium (Van Bellen Remix) captures the essence of classic progressive storytelling: subtle builds, atmospheric depth, hypnotic groove, and that melancholic emotional arc that defined the golden era of early 2010s progressive house.
