Casa Loma, or "House on the Hill" was the residence of Sir Henry Pellatt and his wife, Mary. Sir Henry spared no expense building the $3.5 million it too in 1911 to build Casa Loma. Today's equivalent, would be about $60 million.
Today, visitors are invited to tour the 170,000 square feet estate - complete with decorated suites, secret passages, an 800-foot tunnel, two towers, stables, 5-acres of estate gardens (open May through October) and a full scehdule of seasonal events.
