This video was created from aeriel footage from travels around 6 continents including captures from Bromo Volcano in Indonesia, The glaciers of Patagonia, the coast of South Africa, beaches and waterfalls of Costa Rica, the west coast of the US, the towering waterfalls of Reunion Island off the coast of Africa, the dunes and colorful mountains of Peru, the surreal scenery of Iceland, the fairy tale landscapes of the Faroe Islands and the coasts of Australia and New Zealand.

This video serves as a reflection of the fire that burns at the horizon of our awareness, such as the fires that burn in the amazon and across the world, the hurricanes that brew in the oceans, and the glaciers that disappear before our eyes and within our lifetimes. This year saw record numbers of protesters gathering in support of climate justice and the reform of policies that favor money and power over the survival of our planet. Young leaders such as the amazing Greta Thunberg are lending a much needed voice to the movement that calls for immediate action. While it is certainly important for us as individuals to lead by example, nothing compares to the power of unity that demands broad and systemic change. Our system is broken. Oil and money have infected our so-called democratic institutions like a cancer that will not go away until everything is dust. We must come together and make massive changes to our institutions and governments before it is too late. The terror of climate change must not paralyze our resolve. The positions of our world's governments have become untenable, yet solutions such as the Green New Deal offer a path forward. I hope we can rally behind the voices that call for change and amplify the policies that have a small chance of literally saving our planet. Celebrate nature and share its beauty. Never stop appreciating what is possible by speaking for the beauty of nature. Always recognize it as our shared place of birth and one true family.
