Download Stock Price Returns from DataStream (Eikon) for a large dataset. Note: The Return does not factor in Dividend, formula used here is simply: (End Price - Start Price) / Start Price.
If you would like a total return value, set the expression/data type to RI (Return Index) instead of P.
Return Index (RI) shows a theoretical growth in value of a share holding over a specified period, assuming that dividends are re-invested to purchase additional units of an equity or unit trust at the closing price applicable on the ex-dividend date.
