What are the requirements for a Skilled worker visa or Company Transfers Entry Clearance Application when applying from outside the UK?

A restricted Certificate of Sponsorship is usually required for entry clearance as a Tier 2 Skilled worker visa General Migrant unless the job is stated on the Shortage Occupations List, or, alternatively, if the migrant will be considered as a "high-earner" with a salary on offer of at least £159,600 gross per annum.

To apply for entry clearance, the sponsor must

1. Obtain the A-Rated sponsorship licence
2. Place adverts on two advertising platforms for 28 days (in what’s known as the Resident Labour Market test)
3. And, issue and assign a Certificate of Sponsorship to the migrant

The migrant on the other hand:

1. Must earn an Appropriate Salary - this must be at least £30,000 or the minimum salary as per the relevant Standard Occupational Code which closely matches the job role
2. Must be generally skilled and at or above Regulated Qualifications Level (RQF) 6.
3. Meet the English Language requirement of level B1
4. And must either be certified by the sponsor company or provide evidence that the migrant has, in their personal account, funds amounting to at least £945, held for a minimum period of 90 consecutive days
