Cecina, a small town south of nearby Livorno (Leghorn), Italy, known for have received during WWII the visit of the U.S. Secretary of war Henry L. Stimson, of the New York Cardinal Spellman, of King George VI of England and of the British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and for some time being the headquarters of Gen. Mark Clark, commander of
the U.S. 5th Army, was liberated by this on July 2, 1944.
This video shows a U.S. Army unrestricted film on this event, extracted from a video of the National Archives (https://catalog.archives.gov/id/15138 ), and a 1960s postcard that has allowed identify the street in Cecina where,
in the film, 2 vehicles of U.S. 5th Army are seen passing .
