This is Part 1 of a 2 part video showing the three year long transformation of a 1950's Austin J40 Pedal Car into a state-of-the-art, key start, gas operated, fully functioning mini-car for our 6 year old granddaughter Kaia. A key feature of this one of a kind car is its ISIS Intelligent Multiplex wiring harness system (see isispower.com for details). The ISIS Power System is fully programable and operates all of the cars electronics. This project started after I came across an vintage child's toy car that I could not identify, but saw that it was made of real car metal and was much larger than American pedal cars. It turned out to be an Austin J40 Peddle Car that was produce by the Austin Car Company in England from 1950 to 1971. We believe this is the most advanced and expensive J40 transformation to-date.
