A man armed with a gun sparked a lockdown in the city overnight as police attempted to contain the situation, and bring a peaceful resolution.
ACT Policing was called to an incident in Civic around 11.15pm Monday (24 August 2020)
Police cordoned off the area between Bunda St and Cooyong St and from Constitution Ave to Mort St.
ACT Policing was supported by the AFP Specialist Protective Service throughout the incident.
The incident has since been resolved and the area is now safe
ACT Policing took the man into custody.
