After completing this lecture the participant should be able to diagnose the various types of oral mucosal lesions and their management.
The Oral Cavity is home to multiple types of tissues. Mucosal diseases of the oral cavity and jaws are relatively common and they represent mucosal ulcers or red, white, or pigmented lesions. Mostly oral mucosal lesions are benign and rarely malignant. Early diagnosis will help in the treatment of these lesions and prevent malignancy.
