Set in a small village in 1960s Sweden, Dubbel-8 is a playful, nostalgic coming-of-age story about first crushes, jealousy, and the intoxicating magic of filmmaking.

When Sofia arrives in town—looking like a teenage Brigitte Bardot—15-year-old best friends Anders and Börje are instantly smitten. Armed with big dreams and even bigger hormones, Anders discovers a Double-8 film camera and decides to make a movie starring Sofia.

Sofia agrees—unaware of the boys’ rather naïve and questionable cinematic ambitions. Meanwhile, Anders’ childhood friend Angelica grows increasingly jealous and steps in as the unlikely screenwriter, shaping the film—and the emotional dynamics—into something far more complex than the boys ever intended.

Dubbel-8 is less about provocation than it is about youthful longing, awkward desire, and the joy of creating films, told with warmth, humor, and a loving eye for teenage confusion.
