CYPRESS — The second week of league play started off with a bang as the reigning district volleyball champions edged their key rival in a teeter-totter battle for dominance within District 16-6A.
Bridgeland ® High School’s Lady Bears (8-2, 3-0 district) took a 3-2 victory, 24-26, 22-25, 25-19, 25-14, 17-15, in reverse sweep fashion over Cy Ranch’s Lady Mustangs (6-3, 2-1 district) with a COVID-19-standing room only crowd witnessing the maximum effort on both sides of the net Tuesday night, Oct. 6, 2020.
The loss drops the #MWT Mustangs into a three-way tie for District 16-6A silver with Cy Woods (8-2, 2-1) and Cy Springs (5-2, 2-1).
